Интересный сериал-антология, основанный на реальных событиях Данный сериал представляет собой классическую американскую антологию мистики и очень сильно напоминает по формату «Сумеречную зону». Если проводить параллели и сравнивать эти сериалы, то «Сумеречная зона`выигрывает по всем пунктам — начиная с ведущего (Род Серлинг смотрится куда выразительней и солидней Джона Ньюлэнда), заканчивая проработанностью сюжетных линий и качеством картинки. Общий хронометраж обоих сериал схож — 22-25 минут на серию, благодаря чему зрителям не успевает надоесть сериал. Серии проработаны достаточно неплохо, но главная «фишка» данного сериала в том, что каждая серия основана на реальных событиях. Основная тема сериала — паранормальные явления, мистика, призраки и предзнаменования. Вы не найдёте здесь классического саспенса или лихо закрученного детективного сюжета. В итоге, если не сильно придираться, «Шаг за грань» — приятный легкий сериал про мир потустороннего и непознанного. Особенно приятно было увидеть известных актёров на заре своей будущей славы — таких как Чарльз Бронсон и Уоррен Битти. 7 из 10
